The Story

Hello, my name is Brian Brophy, I was born in San Jose CA, to Tim and Marilyn Brophy. The year was 1966 and my parents had four children prior to my arrival. It continues to amaze me that my mom was 26 years old with 5 children before the final addition to our family arrived in 1971. I now have a deep respect and admiration for how they kept order in our home knowing all that is required to maintain a household of eight people. I realize after my wife and I reared our own three children and a family of five all the sacrifice it takes. Because my purpose in life has become getting families “Back to The Table,” and the value that takes place there, I am thankful to my mom and dad for their influence and what took place at ours. I have fond memories of my dad delivering the message that he thought to be best which included prayer and supplication on behalf of our family. When I ponder this season of my life, I have no words to describe how grateful I am, only that I desire to become a sacrifice for other families so they can experience the same.

Even though my life has been full of many blessings, the trials and tribulations                                 I have endured have had profound implications of their own. It is because they have such significant value in scripture and are intended to produce a patience, character, and hope in something that goes far beyond what we can begin to understand. These trials take us into the Spiritual realm where God performs his transforming power on our mind conforming it and us into the image of Christ. Eventually, whether we are experiencing peace or the trials that this world hurls at us, we will be well regardless of what is going on around us. Just like Christ, who was cool, calm and collected at all times, so will our children be because that is our promise from God. In addition, as described in scripture, it will be for the joy of saving people’s lives from sin that we exist and partake in suffering always looking forward to being changed into his image.

There is a scripture that has had a profound impact on my life and development that implies to partake as a soldier at war and the afflictions Christ went through. In the previous letter to Timothy the result is that we will possess mercy and become a pattern of Christ. It is because of all that I went through a passion and acute awareness has been generated within me to help other families. I have spent all of my adult life studying the bible and raising my children in accordance to God’s direction. It is clear to me now that the words that are intended to be the structure and contain a Spiritual force have succeeded. The most precious memories I have with my children are due to God’s influence while lying on the futon, and taking walks, bike rides, and camping trips, discussing Gods greater purpose in this life. My legacy and the inheritance I am so grateful for is coupled with thankfulness because I owe everything about my family and what we have become to God. He has been and will forever be the author and finisher of the value I see in them now.

The CHOICE we make as young parents to pursue “Spirit Life” and not the grandeur this world has to offer will be the most difficult decision we ever encounter. If you choose to stay on the course God has for you, the river as I describe it in my book could become a category five. I am not saying it will happen, only that it can. I have been telling my children since they were old enough to understand that you have two CHOICES, one will lead you to God and the other away from him. Read Hebrews 11:33 thru 12:11 to at least get a glimpse of what others endured. Now read Isaiah chapter #53 in reference to our Christ and you will arrive at why do men pursue such a life of contradiction.

The answer is clearly a joy to save lives and a love to see Christ at his appearing that goes far beyond what we know in the beginning of our journey. As we continue to grow in knowledge and revelation about the love and joy everything else in our life slowly and methodically loses its grip on you. Only because there is a crown of righteousness that awaits those who fought a good fight, finished their course, and kept the faith.

The CHOICE I made at the age of 23 after my life had been according to the natural flow and grandeur this world has to offer was the best decision I ever made. It was for many reasons the most difficult one, but has forever impacted me, my family and all those who have been a part of my life. It is no longer I who live, but God living in and through me Galatians 2:20. Anything that is unique or of any value is from my obedience to God and the Spiritual realm. Even though I ponder how things could have been at times, I realize that what God is doing now is really all that matters. The greatest gift I have to offer anyone is the sacrifice of my own life, the progress that has taken place in my mind, and what I have become. The scriptures imply that because of my obedience and confidence in God, my children are the fortunate recipients of his blessings. Jesus Christ took a brutal beating, was mocked and even spat on. Now it is because of our allegiance to what he went through that our children are transformed before our eyes into him.  It is for that reason my life is coursed on his behalf. His humility, soundness, and so much more have become my attraction like metal to a magnet. They are intended to be our new nature and is what I experience as I write these words. The pattern in scripture that began with Christ and is available to us all has redirected my course in life like so many others currently and before me.

We can paint whatever picture we desire of our family early in our child rearing opportunity.  It not only can, but will become a reality, but a choice will need to be made “God’s Way or Our Way.” What we can and should expect is that trials and tribulations will come, our direction from God is to focus on Christ and what he accomplished on the cross. That is so we will get to know him in an intimate way and understand fully the power we possess because of his resurrection, and have fellowship with him in his suffering, and finally allow God to conform us unto his death. That decision is the purpose for this ministry, book and the reason for which I live. I pray that my life is no longer my own and everything about me is either the character of Christ currently or a prayer to finally arrive at his fullness for the sake of others. My life is already fulfilled only because I die daily and walk in the Spirit, but I truly look forward to what lies ahead to save others from the destructive nature of self. I continue to draw pictures in my mind for both my family and all who will hear God’s voice through me and all roads lead to the cross. It is there that when we arrive and become a complete sacrifice we are transformed into his image.

Thank you for your time on Christ’s behalf and in his stead!

PATTERN:

When I was a child, my mother and I would go to the fabric store together where she picked out a pattern to make a quilt. After deciding on the print, the employee would cut every yard at a mark on the top of the material and lay them all on top of one another. What became clear 50 years later for the purpose of this analogy was that each one was exactly the same. I Timothy 1:16 implies that Jesus Christ was the firstborn of many. He was the original design for a stamp or pattern in which God approved. We will resemble him in every way and be able to see what we would become through our obedience. He came into the world to save sinners and sacrifice himself. Therefore, so would we. It was for this cause Paul received mercy from God so that Jesus Christ would display his perfect patience and longsuffering towards Paul. He was to be the firstborn, the prototype, or example to those who would thereafter believe. Although our children will make choices that seem too much to bear at times, the inner man that God creates in them is like the tip of the iceberg. What is going on underneath the surface although you can’t see it, is the spiritual formula that breeds the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and the rest that could only have come from him. Like trees near the rivers edge, their roots will run deep and our influence that comes from God produces a character that is defined in Christ.

The love, and passion, and what his crucifixion accomplished goes far beyond any words that I can muster up. So many people before us and even today have sacrificed their lives in pursuit of a “New Life In Christ” that defines him and not us. I pray with expectation as God becomes the counsel and authority in your life that this ministry and book will be secondary tools to the bible and cause you and therefore your children to become a living sacrifice and do the same. God developed a picture in my mind of families united and experiencing complete harmony, but it will be necessary to at least acknowledge that both trials and elations await you because that is what God says.

God’s eternal purpose in Christ became my personal PASSION as a young parent. It is described as a strong and barely controllable emotion that includes suffering for a cause. I was describing to a friend that I feel like a freight train, fully loaded, going downhill, and without brakes. I will stop for nothing and I am no different than anyone else who has been enlightened and then engaged to the height, depth and width of God’s unfathomable riches. There is a force at work on our behalf as we begin to realize why men died and continue to sacrifice themselves and their lives for the sake of others. God has given us many examples in scripture and the church today, but the most influential one is our Christ (defined as savior). The details of his life must not only be read about, but experienced.  Then what follows is described as a “NEW CREATION” when everything that mattered so much slowly and methodically loses its value and grip on you. At this point on your journey, you and therefore your children become brand new and the purpose for which you live is no longer your own.
