The “Tree of Life” in the midst of the Garden of Eden is a place that has been created by God where parents have an opportunity to instill a specific way of life into their children. He has brought into existence for their benefit “heaven on earth” where our homes need to become a setting for his influence. During this very short season, roots will be established through words that generate thoughts and bring forth children that are moved in accordance with his plan of redemption. Out from these roots will exude Gods nature and heart in which choices will be made for the rest of their lives. The end result through the investment of our time is that they will become a “New Creation” in which Christ is the prototype and the firstborn of many brethren to follow. It is actually written that your children will be changed into his image! Being convinced will cause you to become steadfast and immoveable always abounding in Christ. The only criteria is to be a willing participant in his will or way of life and not your own!
I didn’t realize until an appropriate time the value of a conversation I had with a young mother. We discussed the importance of an environment, the setting in our homes, and factors that would have influence in their lives. The choices we make while rearing them will produce fruit and according to God it is out of their heart our training is revealed.
Romans 6:16 Don’t you know that to whom you yield, you will become. Whether of sin unto death or obedience unto righteousness.
The WORDS as described in the bible are intended to be the structure and building blocks, etched into the fabric of their mind. God places no value in us or what we can accomplish on our own so he gave us a transplant and we became the fortunate recipients of the “Mind of Christ.” The initial requirement is to step into his forum and shut the door behind you as described in Ephesians 4:27 where he begins his marvelous work of transforming us into the image of his beloved son. He systematically causes everything around us to work for the benefit of his plan to redeem our families, but CHOICES need to be made. The thesis for this ministry and book is Romans 8:28-29 and we know that all things are working together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
What began as a letter to my kids progressed into this ministry and a book. It has become my passion, and intent to impart to them, and all who will hear God’s voice through this ministry, what we have learned. I will take you into the homes of parents that will share with you both the heartaches and elations of their journey. God’s plan for redemption is summed up in the ability of parents to both stand on ground that is stable, and march together to a different kind of beat. We need to become a marching band that has ears to hear and a heart that is able to be conformed to his ways. At the most end of our Spirit Life as described in I Timothy 1:5 is a love that only Christ knew, but we will grow up into and learn about. It comes out of a pure heart, good conscience, and unfeigned faith that was designed by God.
